Ryan Carrick announces first headline show in The Sugar Club

Comedian Ryan Carrick has announced his first headline show in The Sugar Club, Dublin on Thursday, October 15.

The show is titled This Genuinely Did Happen. Carrick performed a work-in-progress version of the show in Whelan's on August 12 and 19.

Prior to his headline show, the comedian will be performing This Genuinely Did Happen at the Dublin Fringe Festival from September 14-16.

He is also involved in the production of Foul Play, a new show from RTÉ, along with Ross McCarney and ComedyJoe. The show centers around life at a GAA club in a Dublin-commuter town.

This is part of a wider push from the network to highlight comedy shows, with a new series of No Worries If Not with Emma Doran and Justine Stafford also in production. Fan-favourite Hardy Bucks is also returning to RTÉ with a new series.

Ryan Carrick has a podcast, Roll Play, with fellow comedian Simon Hennessy.

The comedian is best known for his skits on social media, both for ComedyJoe and on his own personal accounts. He began doing stand-up comedy in 2019.
