Dietz was well known to Stefan Murphy, who shared a heartfelt eulogy to the Workman’s co-founder following his passing on June 7.
“I LOVE YOU TREV,” he captioned a photo of him and Dietz on Instagram. “I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU. I WILL NEVER LET ANYONE FORGET YOU.”
Although Trevor Dietz was best known as the manager of Fontaines D.C., spotting the band in 2016 and helping guide them to international success, he had a significant impact on live music and nightlife in Dublin.
Dietz co-founded The Workman's Club in 2010 and organised events like Somewhere? Wednesdays, and his well-known Bank Holiday Sunday events showcasing emerging acts.
