New comedy night in Meltdown Cafe showcases finest emerging and established acts
Comedy booker (and occasional Hot Press photographer) Emily O'Callaghan has lined up a list of top calibre acts for the first instalment of an exciting new comedy series.
Sourcing some of finest (and most hilarious) # stand-ups in this country and beyond, this will be the first of four comedy nights to take place every Friday throughout the month of June.
One of the stand out names on the bill is sure to be 84 year old Lynn Ruth Miller. Having taken up comedy at the tender age of...wait for it...71 years old, Lynn is an all-singing, all-dancing, all-laughing force of nature.
She'll be joined on the night by Pauline Shanahan, Erin Ferguson, Eve Darcy, Margaret McHugh, Orla O'Doherty Brown and the hugely acclaimed Emma Doran, who will headline the evening.
MC duties come courtesy of Mark McConnell. There'll also be a wine & cheese bar and it costs all of 5 euro to get in.
Says organiser Emily O'Callaghan: "It's gonna be beautiful!"
Take her word for it folks.
