Never Mind The Buzzcocks to make a return to screens
'Inbetweeners' star Greg Davies will host the show.
Never Mind The Buzzcocks is slated to make a return to Sky in Autumn, after it was dumped in 2015.
Eight episodes of the pop culture panel show will be aired along with a Christmas special. Comedian Greg Davies will host the show, and comedy icon Noel Fielding will return as a team captain with This Country star Daisy May Cooper leading the other team. Talkback, who originally worked on the show, will produce the new version.
"I have always loved Never Mind the Buzzcocks and am thrilled to be the new host on Sky," said Davies. "We have brilliant comedic talent on the team and plenty of exciting musical guests will be joining us.
"All that being said, I'm so sure that no one reads these press quotes in their entirety that I’m going to finish by listing types of bread: rye, sourdough, sliced white. Oh, and cob," he added.
Davies joins an illustrious group of past hosts of the programme including Rhod Gilbert, Simon Amstell and Mark Lamarr. Previous team captains included the late Sean Hughes, Fielding and Phil Jupitus.
Jamali Maddix will feature as a regular guest on the new version of the show on the Sky Originals show, which will also be available on the NOW streaming service. The show originally ran for two decades before it was axed six year ago.
