Live Aid musical to embark on Ireland and UK tour
The show has raised over £1.5 million for the Band Aid Charitable Trust
Just For One Day - The Live Aid Musical is set to tour across Ireland and the UK beginning in March 2027.
The tour will follow the shows current West End run and will kick off with several months of shows across England, as well as performances in Cardiff and Edinburgh. Details of the Irish tour dates have yet to be announced.
Just For One Day follows the story of how the 1985 Live Aid benefit concerts for famine relief in Ethiopia, hosted by Boomtown Rats vocalist Bob Geldof and Ultravox's Midge Ure, came to be. The musical premiered in 2024 and was written by English author John O'Farrell and directed by Luke Shepphard.
Proceeds from Just For One Day supports the Band Aid Charitable Trust and have raised over £1.5 Million to date. The Trust funds food, medicine, housing, infrastructure, schools and more in an effort to eradicate poverty in Ethiopia.
