His new show is set to head back to the States, mainland Europe and Australia, and is “packed to the gills with his unique brand of spot on observational standup material and ridiculous stories,” according to the official description. “In this world of unending negativity, bleakness and cynicism there’s never been a better time to come out and escape from it all for a night of quality laughs.”
Jarlath first burst into the public consciousness in 2023 when his Instagram and TikTok videos about Irish weddings, donating a kidney to his brother and strong Irish women blew up.
However, he had been performing standup since 2004 and making the chart topping interview podcast An Irishman Abroad. The iTunes award winning podcast saw him interview hundreds of the greatest Irish people ever including Mary Robinson, Gabriel Byrne, Paul Mescal, Boy George, Sharon Horgan, Ronan O’Gara and more.
Tickets for Jarlath Regan gigs in Dublin, Cork and Galway go on sale this Friday, May 30 here.
