Jape releases visual for "Instrumental For The Lonely"
The intimate video was directed by Ais Brady.
Jape (aka Richie Egan) has released the next video in the Sentinel Video Project, a collaboration of eight directors creating visuals for each of the eight tracks on his new album Sentinel. 'Instrumental For the Lonely' was unveiled on July 28th.
Ais Brady, the filmmaker and designer who produced and directed the film, describes the track as "so beautiful, it has the feeling that you gently journey along with it." In order to capture its essence, Brady says she wanted to create a film that was "simple and intimate."
Shot within the confinements of four walls, the viewer is haunted by black and white closeups of the single protagonist in motion. Accompanied by somber acoustics and a minimalist setting, Brady succeeds in encapsulating what Egan proclaims to be a "meditation on the privacy of loss and how love can transcend physical presence."
