Notorious achieves biggest opening weekend of 2017 at the Irish Box Office
Audiences have been flocking to see the documentary, which traces Conor McGregor's rise to the heady heights at the top of the UFC.
Conor McGregor: Notorious opened at #4 at the Irish box office this weekend, where it grossed €103k (€172k including previews). This beats out Maze and Cardboard Gangsters as being the biggest opening for an Irish film this year.
Conor McGregor: Notorious is the account of the Irish fighter's journey from the very beginning of his career to the very top. Following McGregor from his transition as a largely unknown fighter to the status he currently enjoys, the film showcases highlights from throughout his career, including winning the UFC championship belt in just 13 seconds and his shock loss to rival Nate Diaz, culminating in his recent foray into the world of boxing and his record-breaking Las Vegas bout against Floyd Mayweather.
With all the controversy, candour and steely-eyed self-belief we’ve come to expect, Conor McGoregor: Notorious offers an unprecedented glimpse into the public and private life of a man considered a hero by fans across the globe.
