Game of Thrones Actor Peter Vaughan has died at age 93
We say good-bye to another great man as 2016 tapers to close.
British actor Peter Vaughan peacefully passed away today, December 6, with his family around him.
The 93-year-old man was known for his role as Maester Aemon in the HBO series Game of Thrones. His recurring character was the old, blind master of the Night Watch and held close relations to Jon Snow as his great-great uncle.
Vaughan has maintained a career in television, theatre and film for the past 75 years, including roles in Citizen Smith, The Remains of the Day and the popular BBC sitcom Porridge
Luke Barnes appeared beside Vaughan in Game of Thrones as the character Rast.
Not often you get to work with an actual legend. He was so kind and so gentle and so interesting.
