An American Werewolf in London Remake in the Works
From the creator of The Walking Dead...
The 1981 classic horror movie is getting a makeover, this time under the direction of The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. David Alpert and Kirkman, who executive produce the hit AMC TV show, are both looking forward to produce the remake for Universal pictures.
The original story covers two American students, Jack and Dave, who are attacked by a lycanthrope on the English moor. David survives the brutal bite, but Jack is killed by the beast. Weeks later, David starts to have violent visions of Jack, who warns him he's turning into a werewolf.
Max Landis, son of the film's original director, will write and direct the remake. He will be following in his father's footstep, who created the first movie to ever win an Oscar for outstanding makeup.
The release date has not yet been revealed.
