First Trailer Released For 'The Handmaid's Tale' Season 3
Check out the ominous new trailer for dystopian series 'The Handmaid's Tale'.
The first trailer for the third season of The Handmaid's Tale aired during the Super Bowl last night.
In the trailer, "It's morning again in America," announces the return of the critically-acclaimed dystopian series based on the novel by Margaret Atwood. The line, which is a nod to U.S. president Ronald Reagan's classic campaign advertisement, slowly becomes distorted as visuals of a society in collapse unfurl on screen. "Wake up, America," says Elisabeth Moss' character Offred as the trailer concludes.
The trailer promises another unnerving and politically potent season of the heavily discussed and analyzed series. The Handmaid's Tail stars Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), Max Minghella (The Social Network), Yvonne Strahovski (Dexter) and Joseph Fiennes (American Horror Story). The release date for the new season has not yet been announced, but it is expected to begin airing in May.
