Dublin Dance Festival returns this May
The 2022 Edition will look to "explore the power of the collective and celebrate diversity in all its facets."
The Dublin Dance Festival has announced its return this year from May 17 - 29.
Promising "world-class flamenco, cutting-edge contemporary premieres, dazzling street dance and joyousowork for younger audiences", it will feature performances and participatory dances around Dublin at the Project Arts Centre, the Abbey Theatre, Wood Quay Amphitheatre, Christchurch Cathedral and DanceHouse Ireland with more details available below:

"Wood Quay Amphitheatre is set to come alive and vibrate with pulsating rhythms and the fierce energy of three young female artists. Three short dance works will showcase female voices from a diversity of backgrounds connected by street dance culture in Ireland. Onai Tafuma, Jessie Thompson and Jessie O’Reilly serve up powerfully personal stories, with raw intensity and a passion that sweeps audiences up for an unforgettable dance experience."

"A site-specific performance inspired by Dublin’s cityscape, at Christchurch Cathedral. Dance artist and architect Gilles Viandier envelops the surrounding structures and spaces with a brightly coloured monochrome veil made of 30 metres of lycra – at once delicate, strong, compact, expansive, and bold."
