Diary of War benefit reading highlighting "Ukrainian resilience" to take place in Dublin
The Dublin premiere will coincide with the four year anniversary of the Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Irish actors set to perform at the reading include Derbhle Crotty, Mark Huberman and Emmet Kirwan.
The Diary of War benefit reading is set to take place in Dublin on February 23 at the City Assembly House.
The reading, which comes as part of the Diary of War documentary-theatre project, will be hosted by Ukrainian Action In Ireland in support of the Ukrainian medic volunteer group Hospitallers. The Dublin premiere will coincide with the four year anniversary of the Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The Diary of War project was originally produced by Ukrainian activist Daria Kolomiec and was directed/co-produced by American author/director Musa Gurnis. The performance highlights seven personal accounts of those impacted by Russia's occupation of Ukraine. The project initially began with performances in the United States, selling out venues in New York City and Washington D.C.
The Dublin reading will performed by Irish actors, including Derbhle Crotty, Mark Huberman and Emmet Kirwan.
All proceeds from the benefit will be donated through Ukrainian Action in Ireland to Hospitallers. Tickets are on sale now and are available here.
