Regina Redmond announces third collection of poetry

Regina Redmond has announced the publication of her third poetry collection, titled My Spirit Repaired-My Future Reclaimed.

Following the release of her two previous volumes, Buried Deep is the Child and Warrior Woman Truth Teller, her newest collection will form a trilogy. Redmond has said that she uses writing as part of her healing process from the abuse she faced during childhood.

"When you’re buried alive under the weight of abuse, your universe shrinks to the size of your next heartbeat," Regina explains. "You cannot dream of tomorrow when you’re fighting merely to survive today. Back then, the idea of having a voice, let alone using it to break the silence and author three books, would have felt like an impossible myth.

So My Spirit Repaired-My Future Reclaimed is the culmination of a hugely rewarding journey that’s become a celebration of defiance, transforming my life from mere surviving to thriving. The past was a dark room, the present is my reclamation, and my future is bright, fierce, unwritten, and completely mine to rule."

For her newest collection, Redmond is also planning to record a selection of poems with musical accompaniment, which will be accessible through QR codes in My Spirit Repaired-My Future Reclaimed. 

The writer will also include a selection of her own paintings in her third collection.

Her second collection, Warrior Woman Truth Teller, was especially popular, and has sold out. The collection has been praised by Colm O'Gorman, founder of One in Four and former executive director of Amnesty International Ireland, and Clare Williams, CEO, Wexford Rape Crisis.

Following the release of her previous collections, she gave a talk at Wexford Rape Crisis Centre, and an interview for South East Radio, Wexford.

The release date for the collection is yet to be announced.
