Damien Dempsey returns to Vicar Street
Following a highly successful show at the Ivy Gardens, Damien Dempsey is set to make his anticipated return to Vicar Street this winter.
The Dublin-born singer originally shot to fame in 1997 with his debut album They Don’t Teach This Shit In School with this year marking the album’s 18th anniversary. Since then, Dempsey has proven himself a key figure in the Irish music industry. He consistently mixes stirring vocals, folk melodies with resonant lyrics. With a substantial body of work to date and a new record in the works, he has frequently topped the charts in Irish music. His songs have also reached international acclaim, featuring on TV shows such as Sons of Anarchy.
A singer and songwriter of distinction, Dempsey will return to Vicar Street on December 22 & 23 2018 to play his impressive discography to fans. Above all, Dempsey's live performances are striking.
