Damien Dempsey returns to Vicar Street

The Dublin-born singer originally shot to fame in 1997 with his debut album They Don’t Teach This Shit In School with this year marking the album’s 18^th anniversary. Since then, Dempsey has proven himself a key figure in the Irish music industry. He consistently mixes stirring vocals, folk melodies with resonant lyrics. With a substantial body of work to date and a new record in the works, he has frequently topped the charts in Irish music. His songs have also reached international acclaim, featuring on TV shows such as Sons of Anarchy.

A singer and songwriter of distinction, Dempsey will return to Vicar Street on December 22 & 23 2018 to play his impressive discography to fans. Above all, Dempsey's live performances are striking.
