Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh and Dan Trueman to play Liberty Hall Theatre this Friday
Tickets are available for 20 euro here.
Irish trad artists Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh and Dan Trueman are performing live at Liberty Hall Theatre, this Friday, 20th May.
The gig celebrates the duo's 2014 album Laghdú, a combination of Norwegian and Irish fiddling and features sounds from hybrid 10-string fiddles.
The album is printed in soy-based ink on sustainable materials in a printing plant where they generate their own electricity and the artwork is designed by Rossi McAuley of Distinctive Repetition.
Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh has played his signature 10-string fiddle all around the world, performing at prestigious venues such as the Sydney Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall and Carnegie Hall and is best known for being a part of trad group The Gloaming.
Dan Trueman, a professor of music at Princeton University, also specialises in the 10-string instrument known as a Hardanger d'Amore fiddle crafted by Salve Håkedal.
