Loah, Cathy Davey and Moncrieff are set to feature in the first in a series of shows that will be supported by Dingle Distillery.
Camden Recording Studios have announced the launch of a new series, Dingle Unplugged at Camden Studios. The series promises to feature some of Ireland's best known and most exciting emerging artists. The aim of the series is to celebrate the raw, acoustic essence of music, in the intimate setting of Camden Recording Studios – the leading Dublin studio which was also recently involved in the A New Local Hero initiative, as part of Irish Music Month.
The first event in the series will take place on Thursday, June 8th, 2023, at Camden Recording Studios in Dublin, with guest acts Moncrieff and Cathy Davey and will be presented by singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Loah – who has herself released 3 EPs to date.
Her music has been described as a fusion of different cultures and traditions, creating a sound that is both fresh and timeless.
Cathy Davey has long been considered one of the country's most captivating musical voices. She has released several albums – including the 2010 Irish No.1 The Nameless – blending elements of folk, rock, and indie-pop, and winning fans around the world.
One of Ireland’s most impressive young singers, Moncrieff burst onto the scene with his debut single ‘Symptoms' in 2017 and has since been captivating audiences with his emotive and soulful music.
"As an artist,” Loah said, "I know how important it is to connect with your audience in an authentic and meaningful way. That's why I'm thrilled to be a part of Dingle Unplugged at Camden Studios. This series promises to be a truly unforgettable musical experience, bringing together some of Ireland's most talented musicians across all genres. I can't wait to see what musical moments unfold on stage."
"It will be so nice playing such an intimate setting,” Cathy David said. “And new music will be played! It is so lovely to share the stage with Moncrieff, I’m a big fan. What an incredible voice!”
"I've always loved performing in intimate settings, where I can connect with the audience on a deeper level,” Moncrieff added. "This event series is the perfect opportunity to showcase my music alongside other talented Irish artists who are breaking new ground in the industry."
Dingle Distillery is committed to championing Irish musicians through its partnership with Camden Recording Studios.
