Mary Stokes to perform at Cork Jazz Festival
Following her recent dynamic performances in The Sugar Club as guest vocalist with Whole Lotta Zepp, Mary Stokes takes her band to Cork for her annual appearance at the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival.
As usual, The Mary Stokes Band will be performing five shows over the weekend, from October 27-29, in Counihan’s Bar on Pembroke Street.
The Band will also welcome back guitarist extraordinaire Ardo Andrews, as well as the supreme jazz drummer Kevin Lawlor, while veteran bluesman Chris Byrne will be on bass. This year’s special guests include Dublin blues outfit “The Square Pegs” featuring Colm Quearney, Graham Hopkins and Naomi MacLeod, as well long-time guest of honour, Professor T.C. Collins.
