IMRO Showcase Tour calls for entries
The IMRO Showcase Tour 2009 is now seeking entries, offering selected bands a chance to play live showcase gigs across Ireland in the coming months...
The Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) continues its strong tradition of supporting upcoming talent in Ireland with their annual Showcase Tour.
IMRO are now calling for bands and solo artists to make a submission if they wish to be considered for this year's tour.
The invitation is open to all genres, and offers a great chance for rising acts to gain much-needed publicity, and hopefully pick up some fans along the way.
Just under 50 bands are chosen, with ten live shows set to take place across the country from March-April, and a Best Of Showcase gig topping things off at the end.
Some bands who've benefited from their spot on recent IMRO Tours include Fight Like Apes, Oppenheimer, Delorentos, The Flaws and Grand Pocket Orchestra.
If you want to get on the IMRO Tour, send a website or MySpace link to [email protected] by February 27. If you make it, you'll hear from IMRO in early March.
