KNEECAP, Makeshift Art Bar, Kettama and Gurriers score UK Music Video Awards nominations
The winners will be revealed at the awards show in London's Roundhouse next month
The nominations for the 2026 UK Music Video Awards have been revealed – with Irish acts KNEECAP, Makeshift Art Bar, Kettama and Gurriers among the nominees.
Launched in 2008, the UK Music Video Awards aims to celebrate "the best work in music videos and music visuals made in the past 12 months – from big-budget video productions, to visual gems by fresh filmmaking talent."
The awards show is set to take place at the Roundhouse in London on November 4 – with tickets for the ceremony on sale now here.
KNEECAP have scored multiple nominations for this year's UKMVAs, including Best Dance/Electronic Video International for their collaboration with Paul Hartnoll, 'Sayōnara' (dir. Finn Keenan), and both Best Alternative Video International and Best Special Visual Project for 'Irish Goodbye' (dir. Thomas James).
Both videos have also been recognised in the Craft & Technical categories, with nominations for: Best Performance in a Video ('Sayōnara' and 'Irish Goodbye'), Best Casting in a Video ('Irish Goodbye'), Best Colour Grading in a Video ('Irish Goodbye'), and Best Editing in a Video ('Sayōnara').
There are also multiple nominations for Galway producer Kettama, including two in the Best Dance/Electronic Video UK category: for his Archangel track 'Sort It Out' (dir. Hugh Mulhern), as well as his collaboration with Fred again.. and Shady Nasty, 'Hardstyle 2' (dir. rubberband).
The video for Kettama's 'Man With A Second Face' has also received a nomination for Best Editing in a Video (Newcomer).
Belfast band Makeshift Art Bar, meanwhile, have been included alongside the likes of The Rolling Stones, Charli XCX and Wolf Alice in the Best Rock Video UK category, for 'Discipline' (dir. Colin Peppard). The video – which was made for just £2,000 – was also nominated for Best Low Budget Video or Visualiser.
Finally, current Hot Press dual-cover stars Gurriers are included in the shortlist for Best Rock Video International for 'Nothing Happens Twice' (dir. Thomas James).
