Cara Dillon to release Redcastle Sessions DVD
Folk singer Cara Dillon is to release her first ever DVD, a 15-song journey through Derry and Donegal.
Included are songs such as ‘There Were Roses’, ‘Black Is The Colour’ and ‘Never In A Million Years’, as well as duets ‘False False’ and ‘If I Prove False’ with John Smith.
"When we were approached to do a DVD, we were sure that we wanted it to be both different and special. By shooting it in Ireland and by involving all the musicians, I think we certainly achieved that," says Dillon.
Much of the Redcastle Sessions DVD was shot in a converted hospital next to Lough Foyle in Co. Donegal. She also talks about her influences and family, before the film finishes with a session in McReynolds Bar in Dungiven, County Derry – Dillon's home town.
The DVD will be available from early August.
