Frames man goes solo
While Glen Hansard's been busy making multi award-winning films, The Frames' guitarist has been working on a solo project.
The Frames' Rob Bochnik will showcase material from his forthcoming solo album at an intimate Dublin pub gig later this month.
The Chicago-based guitarist, who replaced Dave Odlum in 2003, has announced he will play Conway's on Parnell Street on 25 July.
His forthcoming long-player Blowing Out The Cobwebs has drawn comparisons with artists like John Fahey, Bob Watson and Bob Mould's Sugar.
Bochnik's Frames bandmate Johnny Boyle played drums on the album.
Meanwhile, the Frames are set to support Bob Dylan at several shows in Australia and New Zealand in August, before moving on to the US.
