New York dance duo Sofi Tukker set to play their Irish Debut show early January

Sofi Tukker are an infectious guitar laden electronic duo making waves in the music industry with their own brand of jungle pop.

Formed a little over two years ago, Sofi Tukker have rapidly ascended through the ranks to earn a grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording, boast over 20 million streams on Spotify and have had their song ‘Best Friend’ debuted on the new Apple Iphone ‘X’ advertisement.

They are one part Sophie Hawley-Weld in the form of fresh, luscious vocals and other part DJ Tucker Halpern, overload of hypnotic hooks.

The pairs first EP, ‘Soft Animals’, was released in 2016 to critical acclaim, fusing Brazilian instruments with heavy beats and cheery positive lyricism in both Portuguese and English.

The stand out song ‘Drinkee’ is a masterclass in upbeat, hypnotic, melodic dance music and set the tone for the pairs future outings.

Sofi Tukker are set to play their debut Irish show on 27 January 2018 in the Button Factory - comfortable dancing shoes recommended.
