Macklemore announces FREE PALESTINE tour with 3Arena show

Macklemore has announced a FREE PALESTINE tour with a date at Dublin's 3Arena on October 26.

He also announced stops at Paris's Accor Arena and London's OVO Arena Wembley.

The concerts will bring Macklemore together with artists and friends for a series of performances that "center Palestine and Palestinians, and help provide humanitarian aid and support to the movement," according to a statement.

"If these last couple of weeks have shown us anything, it's that something has shifted over the last three years," wrote Macklemore on Instagram. "There has been a collective awakening around Palestinian liberation, the power of billionaires that try to censor that call, and what we expect from artists right now.

"It's 2026. Being apolitical during a genocide doesn't work anymore ... I've spent the last week reaching out to artists who have shown up and used their stages to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people, regardless of the consequences."

Artist announcements are coming soon, as well as more cities and dates, including in the US.

"Because of how quickly all of this has come together, a lot of the conversations, schedules and details are still being worked out. But this is a moment of momentum, and there is work to be done. So we're going on tour," Macklemore continued.

All proceeds from the concerts will benefit 12 different organisations, such as the Palestinian Youth Movement, Jewish Voice for Peace, Medical Aid for Palestinians, the Palestine Children's Relief Fund and more.

This comes after the controversy surrounding the removal of Macklemore from Ed Sheeran's LOOP tour, due to his 'Free Palestine' remarks.

Following Macklemore's support set at MetLife stadium in New Jersey, several stadium owners threatened to pull the show from their venues if he was not removed from the tour. This was led by Robert Kraft, owner of Gillette Stadium and a long-time supporter of Israel and the Israeli military.

This past weekend, Sheeran addressed the controversy, speaking publicly about the war in Gaza and free-speech concerns.

"I am deeply worried about the idea that venues should pre-approve content of performers," he said. "This happens in so many places that I perform around the world, but it should never happen in the free world."

He went on to clarify his stance on Israel and Palestine.

"What happened in Israel and at the Nova Music Festival on October 7 was horrific and compounded centuries of Jewish pain. What is happening in Gaza is catastrophic, unjustifiable and disproportionate. My heart has been broken by the scale of devastation and loss of civilians' lives, of children's lives."

The singer also appeared to criticise the acts that dropped out of his tour.
