Leonard Cohen collaborator Sharon Robinson comes to Dublin
Following on from the release of her second solo album, Caffeine, Leonard Cohen's trusty lieutenant Sharon Robinson plays the Dublin Button Factory on April 10 where tickets are €42.50 and go on sale on Wednesday January 28.
As well as being Lennie's foil on many a melancholy classic, Robinson has penned monster hits for the likes of Patti Labelle, and contributed to the Wonder Boys, Natural Born Killers, Pump Up The Volume, Stakeout and Beverly Hills Cops soundtracks.
“Writing for other people over the years, there’s been an increasing sense of an underlying style or voice in my work,” she notes. “This album gave me the chance to explore that voice and find out more about it. It’s been very fulfilling."
Also highly recommended is her On Tour With Leonard Cohen photo-book, which chronicles last year's tour in support of Popular Problems.
