Sam Smith tops the Irish Singles Chart
UK sensation stakes his claim with huge summer hit...
Having emerged thanks to his memorable appearance on Disclosure's breakthrough single 'Latch' in 2012, Sam Smith is now turning into something of a chart maestro himself as new single 'Stay With Me' shoots straight to the top of the Irish Singles Chart in its first week of release.
With John Legend's 'All Of Me' holding on to second place and Mr. Probz' 'Waves' climbing to #3, it means that last week's champion Ed Sheeran tumbles to fourth spot with 'Sing'. Meanwhile, Calvin Harrris' imaginatively-titled 'Summer' takes fifth this week.
The rest of the top ten sees turns from Hozier (climbing five places no doubt thanks to his appearances on Letterman and Ellen), Sigma, Pharrell Williams, Coldplay and wouldn't you know it, Hozier again.
