Exclusive: Orchid Collective premiere 'Lay As Stone' video

For a group who've been together for little more than a year, Orchid Collective are wasting no time in forging a reputation for themselves.
Gigging relentlessly through 2015 - spots at Glasgowbury, Knockanstockan and a run supporting Boston-based Mutual Benefit on an Irish tour among the previous diary entries - saw them build a significant following for themselves, while early single 'Figure It Out' indicated the sort of quality we could likely expect in the future.
And sure enough, their new single 'Lay As Stone' delivers in spades. Combining swelling guitars and lush harmonies, it's a pristine slice of alt. folk - Hot Press can't be the only ones getting vibes of The National here, right?
It's been given a stylish and considered visual to match too, which we're delighted to premiere today. It serves as a cracking appetiser to next Friday, March 11, when the band hit the Upstairs venue at Whelan's to bring their ever-evolving live show home.
