Nile Rodgers talks U2 collaborations, Mark Ronson & Lady Gaga in the new Hot Press
It's part of our definitive guide to the Metropolis festival
The new issue of Hot Press contains 20-pages of Metropolis festival-previewing goodness!
The big names featured include disco don - and one of the nicest, most interesting people you could ever hope to meet - Nile Rodgers.
In a wide-ranging interview, he talks Gaga (“I love her. She is so nice, so introspective and so damned talented. It’s like when Bowie first came out into the world”) and Mark Ronson (“We’ve never had a bad day together which is good going when you consider I first met him when he was six”).
Also up for discussion is that much-vaunted U2 collaboration.
“It has to happen, right?” Nile proffers. “U2 and their families have been to more Chic gigs - 10 or 11 at this stage - than anybody else I know. There’s so many children between them now that they bring the party with them.”
For more - lots more - Chic-y talk, see the new Hot Press.
