The IFTA Awards will be broadcast on RTE One this evening
The Awards, which took place on Saturday, April 8, will be broadcast tonight on RTE One at 10.15pm.
A night which showcased the best from Ireland’s growing and vibrant film industry, the IFTAs acknowledged people for their work both in front and behind the scenes with films like A Date for Mad Mary (whose star Seana Kerslake is pictured above), The Young Offenders and The Siege Of Jadotville amongst those receiving accolades on the night.
Deirdre O’Kane, who received a standing ovation as the Ceremony Host, had everyone in stitches and struck the right balance for the night of celebration.
The night was full of surprises and triumphs for talent across the Round Room of the Mansion House and once the formalities were over and the Awards handed out – the community of filmmakers and creative talent dined with the finest of food and partied into the small hours with DJ Mo Kelly throwing out the right tunes to have everyone making shapes.
Deirdre was joined by a host of Irish talent; Fionnula Flanagan, Ciarán Hinds, Stephen Rea, Jimmy Nesbitt, Colm Meaney, Amy Huberman, Patrick Bergin, Jason O Mara, David Hayman, Charlie Murphy Jim Sheridan, Richie Smith, Miriam O’Callaghan, Peter Coonan, Denise McCormack, Daithí Keane, Aoibhinn McGinnity, John Kavanagh, and Owen McDonnell among others.
See all of the highlights from the red carpet, and the show, on RTÉ One tonight at 10.15pm.
