Bono meets with Canadian Prime Minister
Bono spoke with the Canadian PM and parliament yesterday to discuss the issue of foreign aid.
The U2 frontman who is due to place his third of four Montreal gigs tonight, met with Prime Minister Stephen Harper, the cabinet and parliament to which he reportedly stated that"Development assistance, or foreign aid as you call it here, is a really good way of showing who you are to the rest of the world".
President of World Vision Canada Michael Messenger remarked of the visit: "It’s my hope that Bono’s visit will boost Canadian awareness and engagement on international development priorities. Today’s discussions underscore that we cannot work alone - success and innovation happen when we’re all at the table, committed to improving the lives of children"
