Axis Of to take debut album on the road
The Portstewart natives have announced three dates in Cork, Dublin and Galway...
Punky northerners Axis Of release their debut Finding St. Kilda album on March 15 – we know what we’re moshing to on Paddy’s Day! – and then jump in the van for shows in Nancy Spain’s, Cork (March 20); Workman’s, Club (22) and Upstairs @ Roisin Dubh, Galway (23).
“We started playing music together as kids and decided then we’d live by two concrete rules – we’d only play music we wanted to hear and write words we thought were important,” proclaims singer and bassist Ewen Friers. “For us, the album is the perfect representation of what we are. Written by Mastodon fans hooked on Fang Island!”
The opus was recorded in Start Together Studios with the workaholic Rocky O’Reilly producing.
Finding St Kilda,/i> is available now to pre-order as a digital download as well as limited edition (500) 12" Vinyl. But you can grab a quick listen over on Smalltown America who are currently streaming the album here
