?Farewell, my lovely Ireland‘, is not a line that‘s used a whole lot in modern songwriting, but given the number of Irish chicks currently flying the nest, it‘s as good a way as any to start a song in 2013. Granted, ?The Emgrants Story‘ doesn‘t add much to the classic Philadelphia, Here I Come! narrative, but Kilkenny crooner Jack Carey does a fine job of convincing us we‘re hearing it for the first time.
