Cover albums are generally either very good or very bad. Thankfully, this new album from Paul Weller falls easily into the former category. Featuring hit singles ‘Wishing On A Star’ and ‘Thinking Of You’, Studio 150 is an eclectic, thoughtful selection of songs with that Weller trademark sound. Classics such as ‘Early Morning Rain’, ‘All Along The Watchtower’ and ‘The Bottle’ are interesting interpretations, resulting in an album that will appeal to fans of Weller and the original legends alike.
