Penance Soiree
The LA boys even have the accolade of being invited by author Irvine Welsh to play his birthday party.
Kicking and screaming their way into your heads, hearts and minds, The Icarus Line have just released Penance Soiree. This is their follow-up to their debut album Mono which appeared on their own Buddyhead label and was Courtney Love’s album of the year in 2001. Iggy Pop gave the band his blessing at last year’s Coachella Festival and The Icarus Line completed a UK support tour with Primal Scream earlier this year. The LA boys even have the accolade of being invited by author Irvine Welsh to play his birthday party. Hailed as "rock to boil blood to serrated, vicious, discordant, psychotic, manic", and "no-one comes close to touching The Icarus Line at the moment for pure evil, utterly fucked up rock’n’roll…Total genius"
