Mono Band

Mono band is the self-titled debut album by former Cranberry Noel Hogan’s new group. While there is something familiar about it on first listen – the ringing guitars, the swooping melodies and the haunting vocals that are synonymous with the Cranberries epic anthems – the sound and content really are strikingly different. Hogan takes the straight on guitars and vocals arrangement and turns it on its head – subtle, keenly chosen injections of electronica coupled with bold, dynamic programming. The music becomes layered and ethereal – at once vicious and delicate.
