Loosely Based On Fiction
Loosely Based On Fiction is the debut album from Belfast three-piece Escape Act, a fine example of just how good indie rock can be. Worthy of a four star review from HP, the record excites with influences of The Smiths, Pixies and more. Killer hooks and perfect melodies led our critic to say that the band “reaffirm the listener’s faith in simple, sub-three-minute guitar pop”. Stand-out tracks are the impressively-catchy ‘God Says’ single and ‘Kings Have Fallen’. HP’s final verdict? “Indie-rock in excelsis.”
