Hopioki

Hopioki is the debut album from Carlow based band 79Cortinaz, who made it to the recent live final of the Vodafone Bright New Sounds competition. A fun 11-track record, Hopioki hints at influences of Brian Wilson, Thrills, and Arcade Fire, featuring superbly crafted guitar songs with lush melodies. Produced by ex-Damned drummer Rat Scabies, the band also had help from Florida and Wicklow, respectively, as the album was mixed at home by Mark McCabe and mastered in the US by Bob Katz.
