Eleven Modern Antiquities

The follow-up to the brilliant Jollity album, Pugwash’s Eleven Modern Antiquities is their fourth release, but their sound shows no sign of getting old. The album toes the line between seemingly simple catchy pop and sophistically crafted arrangements, featuring harpsichords, pianos, strings, and the odd killer single in the vein of ‘Take Me Away’. Contributions from such luminaries as Neil Hannon help make this excellent record even more enjoyable.
