Ballad of the Broken Seas
Isobel, formerly of Bell & Sebastian, has spent the initial part of this year completing wok on this collaborative album, recorded with former Screaming Trees and Queens Of The Stone Age singer Mark Lanegan. Described by the man himself as "kind of sun-bleached and psychedelic, with a little bit of folk or country". featuured songs include a "quite nasty" cover of Hank Williams' 'Rambling' Man' and clear influences from Johnny Cash and Lee Hazelwood. Collaboration at its most inventive.
