Ash frontman Tim Wheeler was in fine form when Hot Press caught up with him just hours before taking to the stage at The Academy for a special gig, featuring original guitarist Charlotte Hatherley back among the fold.

On the agenda was revisiting Free All Angels on its tenth anniversary, future plans for the band - including whether or not Charlotte’s return will extend beyond the current tour - and his upcoming Christmas record with Emmy The Great.
