WATCH: Former Chief Constable on Cannabis Bill
"This really fills with me hope," says Tom Lloyd.
The Chief Constable of Cambridgeshire, Tom Lloyd was in Dublin today to lend his support at the launch of Deputy Flanagan's Cannabis Regulation Bill.
"It's measured, it's even, to an extent, conservative," Lloyd told Stuart Clark when he stopped by the Hot Press offices. "But that should reassure people because it's also extremely practical."
He agreed that people have concerns about legalising the drug, but noted that most of them stemmed from the fact that currently "criminals run the market in the country and in fact throughout the world."
