TV3 adds Gavan Reilly as new political correspondent
Reilly was also most recently the political correspondent for Today FM.
TV3 has added a new member to their team, Today FM’s Gavan Reilly, who will serve as the new political correspondent. Reilly has an extensive career in broadcasting, having filled the role of presenter on such programmes as The Last Word with Matt Cooper, and on Neil Delamere's Sunday Best.
In addition to his work on the radio, you may already recognise Reilly from his guest appearances in the morning and evening on Ireland AM and Tonight with Vincent Browne. Reilly has also earned quite a following on Twitter, earning him the status of one of the most influential Twitter users in politics according to the Murray Tweet Index.
Mick McCaffrey, Head of 3News, expressed his enthusiasm at adding Reilly to the team, saying “I am absolutely delighted that Gavan Reilly is joining 3News as Political Correspondent. He is one of the most gifted journalists of his generation and his massive social media following is an illustration of how well respected and trusted he is by the general public."
