Manchester bomber identified as Salman Abedi, 22
Authorities have named the bomber responsible for the Manchester attacks as Salman Abedi, 22 years old. He was killed in the blast that claimed the lives of 22 people and injured dozens more. As of now there are only three confirmed identifications of those murdered: eight-year-old Saffie Rose Roussos, 18-year-old Georgina Callander, and 28-year-old John Atkinson. A statement from Theresa May said that “many” children had been killed, with reports suggesting that as many as twelve of the victims were under the age of 16.
“We struggle to comprehend the warped and twisted mind that sees a room packed with young children not as a scene to cherish but an opportunity for carnage," May said after being called to an emergency meeting regarding the tragedy.
