Find ticket information for next week's event below.
John Francis Flynn is among several artists to play at the Activist Solidarity fundraiser at Pharmacia in Limerick on February 13.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the Activist Solidarity Fund, in support of those on trial for actions at Shannon Airport. Other artists set to perform at the fundraiser include The Continuity Ceílí Band and Limerick rapper Jordan Kelly, along with radio presenter and musician Dónal Dineen.
The Activist Solidarity Fund is a grassroots charity founded to "support activists advocating for Ireland to uphold its neutrality and comply with international law".
On March 30, 2024, human rights' activists Áine Treanor, Aindriú de Buitléir and Eimear Walshe were arrested for protesting the US Military's use of Shannon Airport. Known as the Shannon Three, the activists allegedly entered the runway of Shannon Airport and attempted to inspect a US Military plane.
They have since been charged with trespassing and "interfering with the operation, management and security of an airport”. The trial began this past November, with a pre-trial hearing taking place this morning in the Ennis Circuit Court.
