Hot for 2023 Irish Acts: Kippysmuse
The best up-and-coming homegrown acts to look out for over the next 12 months.
The brainchild of the songsmith known as Kris Marsden, this Belfast-based artist has steadily been carving out a reputation for himself as one the north’s brightest and best stars. Last summer saw the long-awaited release of Kippysmuse's second LP Free From Form, a spine-tingling slab of alt-folk and Americana. Featuring a cast of some of NI’s finest musicians, the acclaimed opus was hailed as a heroic album forged in heartbreak. Loved by the likes of BBC taste-maker Steve Lamacq, we’ve been told to expect a third LP this year.
