Gigi Hadid faces backlash from State of Israel over Instagram post

In retaliation, the State of Israel's Instagram account created a pastiche of the post, which read: "There is nothing valiant about Hamas' massacre of Israelis. Condemning Hamas for what it is (ISIS) is not anti-Palestine and supporting Israelis in their fight against barbaric terrorists is the right thing to do."

The State of Israel further pursued Hadid, tagging her in a story that read: "have you been sleeping the past week? Or are you just fine turning a blind eye to Jewish babies being butchered in their homes? Your silence has been very clear about where you stand. We see you."

The account then tagged the model in another post, with an image of children's toys and clothes strewn about a bloodied floor, alleging the photo to be from the recent conflict; alongside text saying, "If you don't condemn this your words mean NOTHING."

Though Gigi's most recent sentiment has clearly outraged Israeli officials, her initial remarks — in which she condemned the massacre of all civilians, including Israelis — attracted no such attention from Israel.
