Former Senator arrested three times at festival is arrested again outside gig venue
Having been arrested three times during at Indiependence, the ex-Social Democrats representative was nabbed outside the Roisin Dubh last weekend.
The former Senator who hit headlines after being arrested three times at Indiependence was again arrested this past weekend – at another distinctly musical spot.
The Irish Independent reports that James Heffernan was arrested by Gardai outside the Roisin Dubh in Galway, following an incident. He was charged with a public order offence later that day, with an appearance before the court scheduled for December 19.
The politician, who ran in the recent General Election representing the Social Democrats, gained a level of unwanted fame when arrested three times during the course of a weekend at Indiependence. On that occasion, he appeared to acknowledge his adventurous few days on Twitter – as seen below.
