Zayn Solo Album Imminent: Still Tied Down to One Direction

Even though Zayn emphasizes his excitement to be a solo artist and to express his authentic self, he continues to reflect and rely on One Direction.

In both of Zayn’s recent interviews with Complex and NME, he discusses One Direction; in fact he has poked fun and gossiped about his former band in nearly every interview since his departure from One Direction on March 25th of last year.

In his interview with NME he states that “I tried to have contact but nobody’s reach out. So… whatever.” But, really, why would One Direction want to reach out to him after he broke his contract and abandoned their team? Especially since he has done nothing but dish on them since he left.

According to Billboard, when Zayn was asked about One Direction’s fifth studio album, Made in the A.M., he screwed his face up at their music and stated that he “didn’t buy the album.”

Perhaps Zayn should be a little more grateful for the opportunities One Direction has provided him with , stop talking bitterly about his ex-bandmates, and finally start focusing on his work as an artist.
