Taken from the ingeniously-named France ‘98 EP, ‘You’re A Dog’ is the perfect introduction to fearless neo-grungers Girl Band, on the off-chance that you haven’t yet heard the masterful noise rock these four Dubliners produce. Plodding, menacing and scuzzy as you like, the track, which is available for free download as a taster of the forthcoming six-tracker, comes off as deliciously unhinged, all the while reminding us of ‘90s favourites like Sonic Youth and Pavement. Simply put, a must-hear.
