Your full Oxegen report starts here!
As of today, we at hotpress.com will be bringing you the full story from Oxegen 2008, including interviews with some of the biggest hits of the weekend.
The contents of the Hot Press office was packed up and shipped down to Punchestown this weekend to make sure every inch of Ireland’s biggest music event was covered.
And it all starts here on hotpress.com where, starting today, we’ll be bringing you festival highlights, reviews, backstage gossip and video reports from the site.
Our reporters were shooting the breeze in the Hot Press media room with some of the biggest acts of the festival including Interpol, Go! Team, British Sea Power, Vampire Weekend, Feeder, The Hold Steady, Pigeon Detectives and Republic Of Loose.
Also popping in for a banter were The Charlatans, Oppenheimer, The Hold Steady, Pigeon Detectives, Reverend and the Makers, Alabama 3, Cajun Dance Party, Republic Of Loose, Flogging Molly, Fight Like Apes, The Blizzards and The Subways.
We'll also be uploading acoustic performances to camera from the likes of Delorentos and the Coronas.
But let's not forget where it all kicked off, at the Hot Press Signing Tent, the only place on site where fans actually got to meet their heroes.
Over the course of the weekend hundreds of fans got up close and personal with Interpol, Feeder, Republic Of Loose with Styles P, Alabama 3, The Blizzards, Paddy Casey, The Coronas, Mundy, The Wombats, The Hoosiers, Delorentos, and The Charlatans.
There were tears, hugs and professions of love and our cameras were there to catch all the action as the fans queued up to get their body parts signed by the stars.
And of course, we were out and about mucking in (literally) with the hard-core festival goers, talking to the fans, gathering feedback from the performances and gossip from the campsite.
And if that’s not enough for you, we’ll be bringing you the comprehensive Oxegen report, with reviews, live pictures and most importantly, behind the scenes gossip, in the next issue of Hot Press, which is out this Thursday, priced €3.50.
So keep your eyes firmly fixed on hotpress.com!
